This is such a great post Annie. It really got me thinking. My sentence is: I write stories of longing and belonging, for women, about women.

The three words is a little harder! But I’m thinking authenticity, creativity and resilience.

Love that sentence Pam. It is really clear about your audience and what you're giving them. Yes, keep playing with those three words until you've got them feeling exactly right. They are so good at helping guide your brand.

Hello Annie! Author branding is shorthand for ‘Hey this is who I am. You might like this!’, isn’t it? Mine is: ‘I write heart-expanding YA romance, supporting your self-understanding and emotional healing’

Hi Jodie - Yes. That’s such a strong and clear statement of what you offer readers. Branding is definitely bigger than the tagline—it’s the full experience of how people connect with you, from your voice to your visuals to the emotions your work evokes. But your statement is a fantastic foundation because it tells readers exactly what to expect and why they’ll love your books.
